Granville Girls, Brown Nab First Win

By Keith Harrington

The Granville girls basketball team and new head coach Dan Brown nabbed their first win of the season as they went on the road and took down Argyle 52-33 in Adirondack League action.

According to Brown there was an outpouring of emotion from the Golden Horde girls after getting the monkey off their backs.

"There were lots of happy smiles," Brown said.

Lauren Bascom led Granville with 12 points. Jordan Chadwick added 10.

Lilly Strout pulled down 11 rebounds for the Golden Horde.

Kylee Humiston paced the Scots with a game-high 22 points and eight boards.

Granville is now 1-2. Argyle is 0-2.
