Border Country Sports-September 1st

Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I'm Keith Harrington.

Hartford's Wells Shows Grand Champion at Fair

If success at the Washington County Fair serves as any kind of predictor, the Hartford boys sports teams could be in for a banner year. A couple of days ago I reported on the succces of Tanager soccer and basketball standout Ray Harrngton with a holstein named Deluxe at the fair. Now one of his teammates has also been successful in the show ring.

According to the Hartford Central School Facebook page Austin Wells also showed a winner. Wells and his cow Selena was Grand Champion of the Milking Shorthorn Junior Show.

Austin's cow Seven was also named Reserve Grand Champion at the show.

Wells is the goalie for the Hartford soccer team and also plays on the Tanagers' basketball team.

Congrats Austin!
