Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I'm Keith Harrington.


Slaters Remain Unbeaten in Girls Soccer


Middlebury played to a draw with Fair Haven for a half but the Slaters began to roll in the second half as they blanked Middlebury 3-0 in girls soccer. The win keeps Fair Haven unbeaten in the early season.


Elizabeth Love scored twice in the second half to help the Slaters take control. Lily Briggs also hit the back of the net for Fair Haven.


Kate Hadwen continued her strong play in the goal in recording the shutout.


Fair Haven is now 3-0.

Hartford Takes Down Rival Scots


After ending a long losing streak of 12 years against Lake George, Hartford came up with another big win. The Tanagers went on the road to Argyle and defeated the rival Scots 4-1 in Adirondack League boys soccer.


The Tanagers led 1-0 at the half, then Hartford scored three goals in the second half to pull away for the victory.


Nate Fiske scored in the first half to take a 1-0 lead.


Cody Baker and Michael Jones scored goal on penalty kicks in the second half to make it 3-0 Tanagers.


Baker scored his second goal of the contest to make it 4-0. Fiske had the assist.


Andrew Fish scored a late goal for Argyle.

Fair Haven Cruises Past Springfield


The Fair Haven Field Hockey team won their first game of the season as they cruised past Springfield 6-1.


Jaylena Haley had two goals to lead the Slaters. Alana Williams, Emilee Higgins, Vivian Ladabouche and Alexis Murray also thumped the back of the cage for Fair Haven.


Moira Rigney scored the goal for the Cosmos. Marthe Fioska and Molly Tennis assisted.


Fair Haven is 1-2. Springfield is 0-2.

Granville Golf Wins Again


The Granville golf team won their fourth match in a row as the shutout Warrensburg 5-0 at Skene Valley Golf Club.


Andrew Rathbun shot 41 to earn medalist honors.

3) Nathan Williams (Gran) def. Cooper Messimer 3-1

Granville raises their mark to 4-0 on the season.

Fort Ann Eases Past Granville


Fort Ann defeated Granville 8-0 in Adirondack League boys soccer. Six players scored goals for the Cardinals.


Anthony Marino led the Fort Ann attack with two goals.


Vincent Marcantonio, Callon Sutliff, Tyler Winchell, Jackson Paige, Jake Lunt and Riley Barnes also scored for Fort Ann.


Matt Vladyka had 13 saves for Granville.

Lake George Volleyball Defeats Hadley-Luzerne


Lake George stayed perfect in ADK volleyball as the defeated Hadley-Luzerne 3-0.


Set scores were 25-9, 25-9 and 25-9.


Shannon Starratt led Lake George with 18 assists and three kills.


Ella Fox had a strong match with 13 kills, 13 service points, five digs and four aces. Grace York had five digs, four aces and 17 service points. Evie Burke added eight service points, two kills, three digs and four aces.


For Hadley-Luzerne Jhianna Baker had five digs and one block. Jordanna Kenney had three blocks and an ace. Lindsey Grey had two kills and four digs.


Lake George is now 3-0.
