Bolton-Warrensburg Edges Fort Ann for ADK Girls Soccer Crown
Bolton-Warrensburg made it a sweep of Adirondack League soccer championships as the Eagles girls edged Fort Ann 1-0 Saturday at Golden Goal. The B-W boys won the league title earlier this week, also with a win over Fort Ann.
Madison Goodspeed scored off an assist from Kara Bacon with 19 minutes remaining in the game to give B-W the 1-0 advantage and that is all they needed.
The B-W defense, led by Kailey Bacon, Karla Sherman, Maille Kelly, and Caitlin O’Donnell were able to keep Fort Ann off the board for the remainder of the game.
It was the 10th shutout of the season for B-W keeper Hope Sherman.
Sherman finished with 19 saves.
Ila Hubert and Ella Moscov did a great job controlling play in the middle of the field for B-W.
“Ila, she’s everywhere on the field, sideline to sideline and up and back. She and Ella Moskov, they really settle in and do a great job in the center of the field," B-W coach Scott Smith said.
Fort Ann keeper, Baylee Wright, did a nice job in goal for the Cardinals, finishing with 19 saves.
Bolton-Warrensburg is now 14-2 on the season. Fort Ann is 9-4-3.

Fair Haven Field Hockey Wins on Senior Day
It was Senior Day for the up and coming Fair Haven field hockey program and the Slaters sent their future graduates off in fine style. Fair Haven clinched a winning record with a 4-0 win over Springfield. The Slaters had not finished with a winning mark since 1979.
Emilee HIggins led Fair Haven with two goal and an assist in the contest.
Alana Williams had a goal and an assist for the Slaters. Vivian Ladabouche contributed a goal and Alexis Murray had two assists.
Williams, Murray, Paityn DeLong and Laurel Boutwell were the seniors recognized before the game.
Fair Haven is now 7-5-1.

Fair Haven Girls Soccer Escapes First Loss
It was a battle to the end, but the Fair Haven girls soccer team remained undefeated on the season with a 4-3 victory over Division I opponent Mount Anthony.
Fair Haven jumped to a 2-0 lead but the Patriots came back to knot the game at 2-2.
The Slaters took a 3-3 lead, but again MAU was able to equalize.
Brittney Love scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal for Fair Haven.
Love finished with two goal in the contest. Maddy Perry and Lily Briggs also hit the back of the net for the Slaters.
Grace Kobelia and Roey Neill.scored for MAU.
Fair Haven is now 11-0 on the season.

Blue Devils Bounce Back With Win
The Poultney girls soccer team bounced back from a pair of consecutive losses with a dominating 6-0 win on their home pitch over Twn Valley.
The Blue Devils used a balanced attack as six different players hit the back of the net.
Emily McFadden, Emily Handley, Courtney Ezzo, Kait DeBonis, Eme Silverman and Bella Mack each contributed a goal to the Poultney cause.
Kenzie Ezzo and Jackie Oberg combined for the shutout in goal for the Blue Devils.
Poultney is now 5-5 on the season.

Warriors Defeat Eagles in Crossover Game
Lake George bounced back from their loss to Fort Ann in a matchup of ADK semifinalists, defeating Hadley-Luzerne 3-0 in a crossover game.
Tiffany Cornelius, Jillian Meader and Samantha Gorey each scored goals for the Warriors. It was Meader's first varsity goal.
Alex Cavalier earned the shutout in goal with nine saves.
Madison Lent stopped nine shots for the Eagles.
Lake George is 11-4-1. Hadley-Luzerne is 9-4-2.

Salem Earns Win Over North Warren
The Salem girls soccer team picked up a win, defeating North Warren 3-0 in an Adirondack League crossover game.
Taryn Gillis scored two goals for the Generals. Sophia Keays once also scored for Salem.
Keays and Sierra Phillips had assists.
Isabella Garrison made three saves to record the shutout for Salem.
Ruth Briar had eight saves for the Cougars.
