Cardinals Edge Hartford to Advance to ADK Final


Fort Ann scored the only goal of the game in the first half and their defense made it hold up as the edged Hartford 1-0 to claim the Adirondack League East Division crown. The Cardinals advance to the ADK title game on Thursday against Bolton-Warrensburg at Golden Goal.


Riley Barnes scored what turned out to be the game-winning goal for Fort Ann in the middle of the first half off a pass from Jackson Paige.


Dylan Brown recorded the shutout in goal for the Cardinals. Jacon Lunt played a strong game on defense.


Brown and Hartford goalie Austin Wells had five saves each in the contest.


Fort Ann is now 8-3, 8-7. Hartford is 7-4, 9-4.

Arlington Rolls Over Blue Devils Under the Lights


The Poultney girls soccer team came into Tuesday night's game under the lights in Arlington red hot, including a win over three-time defending state champion Proctor. The Eagles were not phased by the recent success of the Blue Devils.


With all of the focus on Arlington star Sydney Harrington, Taylor Wilkins stole the show, leading the Eagles to a 5-1 victory.


Wilkins scored four goals to lead Arlington to the win.


Kait DeBonis scored for the Blue Devils.


Poultney falls to 4-4 on the season.

Lake George and Corinth/Hadley-Luzerne Claim ADK Cross Country Crowns


Lake George and Corinth/Hadley-Luzerne claimed the Adirondack League cross country crowns on Tuesday. The Lake George topped Corinth/Hadley-Luzerne 15-50 and North Warren/Johnsburg/Miverva 15-incomplete to wrap up the title.


The CorinthHadley-Luzerne girls edged Lake George 28-29 and North Warren/Johnsburg/Minerva 15-incomplete to finish atop the circuit.


Both teams went unbeaten on the season in league meets.


Lake George's Liam Fahey won the boys race. Taylor Syvertsen of the Warriors won the girls race.

Olden and Tyler Win at Warrensburg


Warrensburg and Hartford met in Adirondack League cross country at Warrensburg on their three mile course Tuesday. The boys and girls teams from both teams were incomplete.


Brody Olden of Warrensburg won the boys race.Hartford's Brynn Tyler cruised to a win in the girls race by over four minutes.

Proctor Blows out Twin Valley


Proctor had no issue finding the back of the net as they blew out Twin Valley 9-0 in girls high school soccer.


Emma Palmer had four goals for the Phantoms and Jenna Davine added a hat trick.


Isabel Greb and Makayla French also scored for Proctor.


Poultney is now 10-2.

Hartford Volleyball Tops Saints


The Hartford volleyball team topped Saratoga Catholic 3-1 in a non-league volleyball match.


Set scores were 25-14, 25-18, 16-25, 27-25.


Raeghan Liebig finished with 18 kills and five digs for the Tanagers. Cassie Wade added 24 assists and six digs.


Soleia Lamoureux added 12 digs for Hartford. Haleigh Grygas chipped five aces.


Gianna Fiordimondo with 16 digs, Jacqueline Fornabia with eight points, six aces and four kills, and Rylee Cornell with 14 points, two aces, eight assists and three kills led the Saints.


Hartford is now 8-8 on the season.
