Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I'm Keith Harrington.


Hadley-Luzerne Defeats Plattsburgh


The Hadley-Luzerne boys basketball team earned a victory on Saturday as they defeated Plattsburgh 60-44 in a non-league contest at Word of Life Bible Institute.


The Eagles built a 37-22 lead at the half and held on the rest of the way.


Caden Wilson and Josh Ellis had 19 points apiece for Hadley-Luzerne.


Alex Mattison added nine points for the Eagles.


Max Filosca and Dan Hartmann each scored 11 for Plattsburgh.


Hadley-Luzerne is now 1-1 on the season. Plattsburgh is 0-2.

Witches Fly Past Delhi


The Greenwich girls basketball team cruised to a win, flying past Delaware Academy 61-20 in the opening round of the Dick Alwine Tipoff Tournament.


The Witches built a 33-8 lead by the halftime break.


Greenwich used a balanced effort in the contest with several players contributing. Norah Niesz scored 18 points and Brooke Kuzmich added 16 to pace the Witches.


Adrianna Rojas added 10 points. Reegan Mullen had six points and Grace Autiello five.


Niesz recorded seven steals, six rebounds and four assists. Kuzmich had seven rebounds.


Greenwich is 1-0 on the season.
