ADK Runners Have Success at Adirondack Invitational


Saturday was the annual Queensbury Adirondack Invitational Cross Country meet at Queensbury High School. Over 1,000 runners from New York, Vermont and Massachusetts competed in the event at the varsity, junior varsity and modified levels. Several Adirondack League teams and individuals had solid showings.


Lake George placed ninth in the Division 2 girls race. Hadley-Luzerne finished ninth and Argyle 12th.


Katrin Schreiner of Hadley-Luzerne finished 11th. Alyssa Freeguard of Argyle was 20th. Taylor Syvertsen was the highest Lake George finisher at 27th. Taylor McLarty was 29th.


Lake George was the fifth place finisher in the Division 2 boys event. Oliver Herrick iwas the top Warrior finisher in 17th.Fahey Stack was 28th and Isaac Herrick in 39th for Lake George.


Brayden Olden placed 23rd and Brodie Olden was 24th for Warrensburg. For North Warren-Johnsburg Gage Morris was 48th and David Anderson was 50th.

Cambridge-Salem Blows Away Cohoes


Cambridge-Salem jumped out to a 20-0 first quarter lead and went on to blow away Cohoes 48-0 in high school football.


Clifford Lewis had TD runs of 3 and 1-yard for Cambridge-Salem. Mike Riche had 84 rushing yards and a score.


Brice Burr tossed threw for 65 yards including a 23-yard touchdown strike to Alex Luke.


Zach Miller and Isaiah Lohret also found the end zone for Cambridge-Salem.


Cambridge-Salem is now 2-1. Cohoes is 0-3.

Warrensburg Sweeps Tomahawks in Volleyball


Warrensburg continued to play well early in the season as they swept Corinth 3-0 in Adirondack League volleyball action.


Natalie Bedarian continued to play well for the Burghers. Bedarian led Warrensburg with 14 assists, six service points, and four aces.


Savannah Kollmann had seven kills, eight service points and six aces for Warrensburg. Ivy Marker recorded seven service points, four digs, three kills, and two aces. Desirae Prosser contributed two kills, four digs, three service points and two aces.


Alyssa Abbatantuono had seven servie points and three aces to pace Corinth. Hailey St. John had five service points. Vivian Millis added three service points and two blocks. Desiree Carlene chipped in four service points, three aces, three assists, and three digs.


Warrensburg is 3-1, 3-1. Corinth is 0-3, 0-4.
