Fair Haven Field Hockey Wins Again


After a long losing skid, the Fair Haven field hockey team won their second game of the season as they blanked Springfield 5-0 on Thursday. Five different players scored for the Slaters in the contest.


Fair Haven led 3-0 at the half and that turned out to be more than they needed.


Katrin Shaw, Alana Williams and Marissa Holcomb scored first half goals for the Slaters.


Emilee Higgins.and Vivian Ladabouche chipped in second half goals.


Williams, Tegan Hoard and Alexis Murray.had assists.


Fair Haven is 2-2. Springfield is 0-3.

Whitehall Nips Rival Horde


The Whitehall girls earned their second straight win as they nipped their Whitehall rivals 2-1.


Whitehall led 1-0 at halftime on a goal from Kamryn Baldwin. Alexis Macleod picked up the assist.


The Railroaders extended the lead to 2-0 in the second half when Macleod converted a pass from Jayden Hughes.


Granville cut the lead in half on a goal from Hannah Ingleston. Laura Arnhold had the assist.


Dory Gosselin had four saves for Whitehall. Kiera Rice stopped nine shots for the Golden Horde.


Whitehall is 2-1, 2-1. Granville is 1-3, 1-3.

Granville Golf Slips Past Fort Ann-Hartford


The Granville golf team stayed unbeaten on the season, but they had to battle for it as they slipped past Fort Ann-Hartford in a tight 3-2 match played at Hartford Greens.


Logan Harrington, Nathan Willaims and Ethan Martelle picked up match wins for the Golden Horde.


Mason Forbes defeated Andrew Rahtbun 1 up in a matchup of two of the league strongest golfers at the #1 spot.


Ben Cusson also had a match win for Fort Ann-Hartford.


Forbes earned medalist honors by firing a 43.


A come from behind win by Martelle turend out to be the difference in the match.


Granville is 4-0. Fort Ann-Hartford is 1-3.
