The coached of the Southern Vermont League recently met to select the 2021 All-Opponent teams. Several players from the Border Country Sports area were selected to the girls all-stars.
In Division D Poultney’s Hannah Corkum was named Coach of the Year.
Maggie McKearin, Laci French, Emma Palmer, Jenna Davine and Isabel Greb were named to the first team from three-time state champion Proctor.
Hannah Webster and Hannah Welch were named to the first team from Poultney.
Emma Blodorn, Tiana Gallipo, Brooke Bishop and Taylor Blodorn, were honored from MSJ. West Rutland’s Serena Coombs, Olvia Cyr, Anna Cyr and Peyton Guay also were named to the first team.
Receiving Honorable Mention were Poultney’s Kait DeBonis, MSJ’s Sienna Diezel and Ellie Tracy. Proctor’s Brookelyn Kimball and Angel Traverse.
In Division C Mill River’s Julia Deppert, Kyla Sheehe, Ali Usher and Sierra Bryant each earned Honorable Mention.
In Division B Fair Haven’s Elizabeth Love, Madison Perry and Lily Briggs were all named to the first team.
Otter Valley’s Linnea Faulkner was also a first team selection.
Receiving Honorable Mention from Fair Haven were Brittney Love, Isabella Carrara, Ella Kuehn and Ashley Carvey.
In Division A Rutland’s Camryn Kinsman, Mackenzie McLaughlin, Brianna Greene and Kathryn Moore all were named to the first team.
Izzy Crossman and Bethany Solari received Honorable Mention for the Ravens.
