Saratoga Springs Skating Club to Hold Event
Has your child ever thought about learning to skate. Maybe you yourself has thought about taking up the sport. Whether you are three years old or 99, the Saratoga Springs Skating Club has an opportunity for you.
This winter the club will be participating in the Learn to Skate USA program. Students in the program will learn the fundementals of ice skating......with the emphasis on Fun! The Saratoga Springs Skating Club is the only club in the area sanctioned in the program.
The program features progressive levels that introduce forward and backward skating, stops, edges, crossovers, and turns to provide you with the essential skills needed to be successful on the ice.
One local skater is very familiar with the program. Hartford's Mollie Delacruz skates for the Saratoga Springs Skate Club. Mollie participated in the 2022 US Figure Skating Championship sponsored by Toyota. She finished 61st on the East Coast and 138th at the Nationals for the Juvenile Level.
The Club's six week Winter Session One runs January 8, 15, 22, 29, and February 12. 19, and 30 from 10 am-11:00 am. Winter Session Two runs March 5, 12, 19, 26, April 2, 9. The cost of the program is $90.

Corinth Girls Roll Over Spa Catholic
The Corinth girls basketball team continued their impressive start to the season as they rolled over Saratoga Catholic in a non-league game. The Tomahawks jumped out to an early lead and never let it go.
Corinth led 15-5 after a quarter and used an 18-8 second quarter advantage to lead 33-13 at the half.
Not much changed in the second half as the Tomahawks exploded for a 23-8 third quarter and cruised on home from there.
Emily Dingmon led Corinth with 20 points. Maddie DeLisle added 17.
Ashley Upson led the Saints with 13 points.
Corinth is 2-0. Spa Catholic is 1-1.
