Schuylerville opened up a comfortable first quarter lead and went on to roll over Granville-Whitehall 42-0 in Section II Class C high school football.
The Black Horses led 21-0 after the first quarter and 35-0 at the half before putting things on cruise control the final two quarters.
Martin Flanders Jr. led Schuylerville with three touchdown runs. . He finished with 58 yards on 11 carries.
Luke Sherman tossed touchdown passes for the Black Horses. Sherman was 8 for 9 for 139 yards.
Schuylerville opened the scoring on a five yard run from Flanders with 8:37 to go in the first quarter to make it 7-0 after the extra point kick.
Sherman then took off on a 23 yard scamper with 2:22 left in the stanza to extend the Black Horses lead to 14-0.
Flanders tacked on a 10 yard scoring run with 10 seconds left in the first.
Sherman went to the air in the second quarter. He connected with Otto Bolduc on a 12 yard pass with 3:41 to go in the half and Jack McGarrahan on a 29 yard strike with 50 seconds remaining to make it 35-0.
Flanders rounded out the scoring with a 13 yard run to start the second half.
The Black Horses accumlated 235 rushing yards.
Granville-Whitehall was shutout for the second straight game and was held to just 55 yards of offense.
Sherman had a complete game, also grabbing an interception on defense. Chris Nastacie and Josh Merrill recovered fumbles for the Black Horses.
Schuylerville is 2-0, 3-0. Granville-Whitehall is 0-2, 0-3.
