Things could not have gone better so far in the first year of the high school football merger between Warrensburg and Lake George. The Wolverines who also receive players from North Warren went 8-0 during the regular season and have earned the top seed in the Class C playoffs.
Warrensburg-Lake George will host Cobleskill (5-2) Friday night at 7:00 p.m. in the Class C quarterfinals.
Schuylerville (6-2) earned the #2 seed out of Class C North, winning a tiebreaker over Hoosick Falls-Tamarac and Stillwater.
Schyulerville will play home Friday night against (6-2) Ichabod Crane. Stillwater (6-2) will be home to Broadalbin-Perth (6-2) and Hoosick Falls-Tamarac (5-2) will play at Class C South #1 seed Fonda-Fultonville (8-0).
The semifinals will be hosted by the higher seed on the weekend of Nov. 4-5, and the final is set for Nov. 11 at 7 p.m. at Lansingburgh.
In crossover games, mainly between Class D playoff teams and Class C non-playoff teams on Friday night Greenwich is at Mechanicville-Hoosic Valley, Granville-Whitehall travels to Chatham and Ticonderoga visits Corinth/Fort Edward/H-L at Corinth.
All of those Friday night games are 7 p.m. starts.
