Gabbie McFarren is a little over 200 points away. Nims opened the season with a 31 points effort in Hartford's 71-26 win over Heatly. McFarren had a 28 point night against the Hornets.
-Speaking of the Tanagers, a player on the boys team also had a huge game this week. With his sidekick, Hartford big man JP Lavin going down with an ankle injury, Ray Harrington stepped up to the plate and poured in a career high 32 points to lead his team to a win over Seton Catholic. 23 of Harrington's points came in the second half as Hartford pulled away after trailing by a point at the break.
-The Salem girls basketball team opened the season on a high note, and one Generals player began the sason with an oustanding game. Salem beat Waterford 62-37 to start their 2021 campaogn. Amber Terry led the Generals with 29 points. 23 of Terry's points came in the first half.
-Argyle girls basketball looks like they may be primed for another solid season. The Scots opened the season with a win over Heatly. Kylee Humiston and Lillianna Kingsley opened the season by combining for 36 of Argyle's 51 points. Humiston scored 19 points and Kingsley 17.
-The Salem boys basketball team may have dropped a decision to OESJ on the Coaches vs. Canver Tournament this weekend, but Connor Chilson had a nice game to the Generals. Chilson had 29 pointsincluding knocking down four 3-pointers for Salem in the contest.
The Fort Edward bowling team is usually one of the top teams in the area, and the Flying Fort look they will continue this winter. Fort Edward is off to a strong start after sweeping Whitehall 4-0. Edward Amell fired a 683 series with games of 205, 234, and 244. . Andrew Fish added a 624 series with a high game of 247. Mark Humphreys rolled a 557 series with a high game of 241. That's bad news for the rest of the Adirondack League.
