Granville, New York, Aug. 2, 2021--- NYVTmedia, the largest media company in Washington
County, New York, and the Lakes Region of Vermont, has announced its acquisition of “Border
Country Sports.” along with the redesign of the sports section of the weekly publications the
Granville Sentinel and the Whitehall Times.
NYVTmedia sports reporter and creator of “Border Country Sports” Keith Harrington will
continue his role as a top producer of high-quality sports articles with now expansive and more
timely coverage and posting of articles from sporting events in the Lakes Region of Vermont and
farther into Washington County. The weekly sports section will now be referred to as
“NYVTmedia presents Keith Harrington’s Border Country Sports.”
“One of the main draws of our northern publications on a weekly basis is our in-depth and
spectacular coverage of sports,” NYVTmedia publisher Mark Vinciguerra said. “Keith
Harrington has established himself as the face of the sports reporting scene in Washington
County and Lakes Region of Vermont, and for good reason. We are excited for the expansion of
coverage, the acquisition of ‘Border Country Sports’ and future projects and stories to come.”
"I am very excited about Border Country Sports and NYVTmedia joining forces,” Harrington
said. “Together, I believe we can become the leader in high school sports coverage in the New
York and Vermont border area. I am grateful to Mark and the NYVTmedia staff for the
opportunity."
Harrington has been covering local high school sports for Manchester Media, now NYVT
Media, since 2016. In 2020, Harrington started “Border Country Sports.” writing about high
school sports along the New York/Vermont border.
Harrington has recently been tasked with interviewing high school athletes, coaches and athletic
directors on-camera in association with the “NYVTmedia Sports Show with Keith Harrington
sponsored by Greenwich Ford” produced, edited and recorded by NYVTmedia senior reporter
Austin Crosier.
“In the time I’ve been associated with NYVTmedia and having played sports for 17 years prior
to coming on board, I have not seen an individual in the field of sports as sought out for coverage
or interviews as Keith is,” Crosier said. “Keith is the personification of connecting with the
source of his interview, generating a relatable conversation for the reader or viewer to connect
with and always has a story to share. I’m very proud of this merger and psyched to continue
working directly with Keith.”
