Keith's Saratoga Picks-July 16th

Well, I am getting better by the day. The "Graveyard of Champions" is up to its old tricks but somehow I managed to pick a couple of races correctly yesterday. That is one more then I gave you on opening day. Handicappong at Saratoga is one of the most difficult things to do in the world of sports I believe. Here's hoping I can take a step forward today.

The feature race today on the Saratoga card is the Diana Stakes. A $500,000 Grade I stakes for fillies four years old and up.

Mechanicville's Chad Brown has had horses win this race five of the last six years, but the trainer who ended his streak a year ago, Charles Appleby is back to challenge Brown again.

Brown will enter four horses, Technical Analysis, Bleeker Street, Rougir, and In Italian. Appelby will counter with Creative Flair.

Although Appleby is a credible threat as was shown a year ago I believe that Brown will begin a new streak today in the Diana. Bleeker Streak and Technical Analysis are both coming off wins and the former is the morning line favorite. Bleeker Street has won three in a row while Technical Analysis has a first and two seconds in the last three starts.

In my opinion this is Brown's horses going against each other, with it being just a matter of which one crosses the line first. I am going to go with Technical Analysis in this one with Bleeker Street and Rougir completing a Chad Brown trifecta.
