Keith's Saratoga Picks-August 14th

A great day of racing at Saratoga yesterday with the annual running of the Grade 1 Fourstar Dave Stakes. The heavy favorite was filly Regal Glory as she tried to take down a field of the boys. However, it was Casa Creed who rallied in the stretch to grab the victory with Luis Saez aboard for veteran trainer Bill Mott.

Today's feature race is the $150,000 Mahony Stakes for three years olds at 5 1/2 furlongs.

The heavy morning line favorite is Big Invasion for Chad Brown with Joel Rosario riding at 1-2. With odds like that I like to look for a horse who can upset the top choice. Big Invadion is 5 out of 6 for his career. He has won five in a row and is coming off a win in Saratoga in the Quick Call.

Th horse I am intrigued by is Editorial Comment from Argentina. It will be his first start in the United States, but is 3 for 4 in his career with three wins in a row, two of them in graded stakes. Luiis Saez gets the mount for Kenneth McPeek. Might be worth a shot 8-1.
