Border Country Sports-September 27th

Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I'm Keith Harrington.


Bolton-Warrensburg Rolls Over Granville


It was the opening night of "Lights Week" for Granville Athletics but it was lights out early for the Golden Horde boys soccer team. Bolton-Warrensburg scored two goals in the opening minute and went on to roll to an 11-0 victory to stay unbeaten in Adirondack League play.


Jace Hubert scored just a few seconds into the game and Dante Corriveau scored second later for the Eagles.


Hubert and Corriveau scored their second goals and Louis Lang got into the act to make it 5-0 B-W.


The Eagles scored three more times before the half as AJ Moore, Stas Wiktorko and Daalten DeMarsh found the back of the net.


Andrez Krzypkowksi, Kazmir Kryzpkowski and Cameron Hunt-Allen added second half scores.


Collin Norton had a pair of nice scoring opportunities for Granville. In the first half Norton made a nice run down the right sideline and played a beautiful cross through the box that no teammate could get a foot on.


In th esecond half Norton made an overlappiing run, received a pass and placed a nice serve into the box, but the B-W defense cleared it away.


Keith Sonley had one save in goal for B-W.


The Eagles outshot Granville 16-1.


Bolton-Warrensburg is now 7-0.

Argyle Edges Lake George in OT


Argyle and Lake George were knotted at 2-2 after regulation time, but the Scots scored in overtime to take a 3-2 in Adirondack League boys soccer.


Conner Buck scored the game-winning goal for Argyle. Victor Aguero assisted.


Jack Sullivan and Haider Tariq got the Warriors off to a 2-0 lead at the break with first half goals.


Argyle equalized on goals from Buck on a penalty kick and a Connor Brockway goal.

Fort Ann Defeats Hadley-Luzerne


It was Senior Day for Fort Ann and the Cardinals came away with a 5-2 victory over Hadley-Luzerne on their home pitch in ADK play.


Callon Sutliff scored a pair of goals for Fort Ann.


Riley Barnes, Jackson Paige and Kaeden Rouse also scored for the Cardinals.


Mason Conklin and Caeden Wilson scored for the Eagles.


Dylan Brown had fives saves in goal for Fort Ann.


Fort Ann is now 6-1, 6-2.

Corinth and North Warren Play to a Draw


Corinth and North Warren battled to a 2-2 draw in ADK boys soccer. Regulation time and two overtimes was not enough time to settle it.


Garrett Bourdeau scored a pair of goals for Corinth to take a 2-0 lead. Sam Tangora and Gavin Wickham assisted.


Wyatt Jennings and James Conway scored to bring the Cougars even.


Owen Baker had three saves for Corinth. William Lindsey stopped 13 shots for North Warren.
