Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I'm Keith Harrington.

A Whole Lotta of Love as Fair Haven Blanks Cosmos

Led Zeppelin has a popular classic rock anthem called "Whole Lotta Love." It could have been the theme song for last night's Fair Vane/Springfield girls soccer game.

Fair Haven stayed perfect on the season as they rolled past the Cosmos 9-0 on their home pitch on Thursday.

Brittney Love had a huge game for the Slaters, finding the back of the net twice and recording five assists.

Maddy Perry and Ayame Merkel opened the scoring for Fair Haven, both assisted by Love.

Brittney Love made it 3-0 Slaters after converting a pass from younger sister Elizabeth. Brittney Love added her second goal later in the half to make it 4-0.

Perry scored for the second time off a Brittney Love pass to make it 5-0 at the break.

In the second half Holly Gannon scored off a Merkel helper to make it 6-0. Brittney Love then found Merkel for a goal to extend the Fair Have lead to 7-0.

Gannon scored off a Lily Briggs pass and the Slaters scored off an own goal that was shot by Kate Hadwen then deflected in to complete the socring.

Hadwen and Maddy Perry combined for the shutout in goal.

Fair Haven is 5-0. Springfield is 2-3.

Bolton-Warrensburg Win Battle of Unbeatens

Bolton-Warrensburg and Hadley-Luzerne entered Thursday's girls soccer contest unbeaten in Adirondack League play. Something had to give. Which Eagles squad would fly higher?

Moscov finished with three goals for a hat trick for B-W. Bacon added two more goals.

Madison Goodspeed also found the back of the net for the winners.

B-W got assists from Bacon, Megan Langworthy and Ila Hubert.
