Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I'm Keith Harrington.
If you are a fan of Jimmer Fredette like I am then Glens Falls High School is the place to be today. Fredette will be back at his high school stomping grounds for the Triple Effect 3-Point Shooting competition. The event is the culmination of three days of Team Fredette's basketball festival.
The 3-point shooting contest will consist of three categories. Some of the best shooters in the area will compete in a junior division for boys and girls ages 10-13, an adult solo division for men and women ages 14 and up, and a co-ed team division for any age with five shooters per team.
The top five shooters in the adult division will join forces to compete in the team competition.
The winning team in the team competition will move on to the grand finale of the event, a matchup against Jimmer and his all-star team. The Jimmer Fredette All-Star Shooting Squad will be made up not only the former BYU star and NBA Draft pick, but Joe Cremo (UAlbany/Villanova), EJ Gallup (UAlbany/Coastal Carolina), Shea Bromirski (Saint Rose) and Lloyd Johnson (Albany High/Schenectady CC/Albany Patroons.)
The event is scheduled to being this morning with the junior division at 11 a.m. with the Adult Division at 2:30 p.m. and the team competiton at 5:30 p.m.
