Tanagers Pick Up First Win of the Season
The Hartford boys basketball team picked up their first win of the season, defeating Fort Ann 56-43 in the Adirondack League opener at the Ella Colvin Gym.
Senior Ray Harrington led the Tanagers with a game-high 21 points.
Nate Fiske contributed 14 points for Hartford.
Jackson Paige scored 12 points for the Cardinals. Callon Sutliff added nine.
Hartford is 1-0, 1-1. Fort Ann is 0-1, 1-1.

Fort Edward Edges Generals
Just a few days removed from the Class D state champonship football game the Salem boys basketball team continues to make the transition to the round shaped ball.
Wednesday night the Generals came up a little short, being edged by Fort Edward 42-39.
Calvin Boucher scored a game high 21 points to lead the Flying Forts.
Beau Boucher chipped in 11 points and Zachary Bartholomew eight.
Stephen Yakubec led Salem with 16 points.
Altwon Webster added 10 and Josh Harrington nine for Salem.
Fort Edward is 1-0, 1-2. Salem is 0-1, 0-2.

Cougars Top Burghers in ADK Boys Hoop
North Warren got the job done in overtime as they topped Warrensburg in Adirondack League boys basketball.
The Cougars earned the win by outscoring the Burghers 9-3 in the extra session.
Derrick Tyrell poured in 21 points to lead North Warren.
Semoj Cuyler added 13
The Tyrell and Cuyler duo scored all nine of the Cougar's points in overtime.
Evan LaPell had 18 points for Warrensburg.
Stevie Schloss added 17 and Brady Cheney nine for the Burghers.
North Warren is 1-0, 2-1. Warrensburg is 0-1, 2-1.
