Gould Goal Leads Horde Over Corinth


After a bit of a rough patch last week, the Granville field hockey team continued to bounce back, winning their second in a row, defeating Corinth 2-1.


Claire Gould continued her solid offensive campaign, scoring the game-winner for the Golden Horde in the fourth quarter. Haylie Barber assisted on Gould's decisive goal.


Lauren Bascom also scored a goal for Granville.


Aubrey Lozier hit the back of the cage for the Tomahawks.


Megan Decker combined had five saves for Granville.


Sydney Crombach had 14 saves for Corinth.

Fair Haven Rallies Past North Country


Fair Haven fell behind but rallied to defeat North Country 14-12 Friday night in Vermont Division II football at LaPlaca Field.


After the Falcons took a 6-0 lead Joe Buxton connected with Phil Bean on a 41- yard scoring pass to tie the game. Buxton's PAT kick gave the Slaters a 7-6 lead and they would not give it back.


Buxton found Carson Babbie for a third quarter touchdown pass from four yards out and Fair Haven held on for the win.


Both teams are 4-2 on the season.

Bolton-Warrensburg Stays Perfect With Win Over Cardinals


The Bolton-Warrensburg soccer team stayed perfect on the season with a 3-0 victory over annual league power Fort Ann 3-0. B-W led 2-0 at the half and scored an insurance goal in the final 40 minutes.


Dante Corriveau scored the first B-W goal of the contest at the 2:55 mark off an assist from Tanner Moore.


AJ Moore made it 2-0 Eagles at the 14:03 mark converting a pass from Daalten DeMarsh.


Tanner Monroe rounded out the scoring with a goal set up by AJ Moore with 20:50 remaining.


Keith Sonley earned the shutout with six saves for B-W. Dylan Brown stopped 10 shots for Fort Ann.


Bolton-Warrensburg is 12-0, 14-0. Fort Ann is 7-3, 7-6.

Burke Records Career Dig 1,000 as Warriors Sweep Hadley-Luzerne


Lake George stayed unbeaten in Adirondack League play and Maddie Burke recorded career dig 1,000 as the Warriors swept Hadley-Luzerne 3-0.


Set scores were 25-11, 25-5, 25-10.


Burke finished the match with 10 kills, 12 digs and six aces for Lake George.


Shannon Starratt added 25 assists and four digs. Evie Burke had 10 kills, seven digs and three aces while Caroline Campbell finished with four kills and two digs.


Jordanna Kenny paced the Eagles with three service poiints, one kill, one block, and 13 digs. Jenna Shannon: contributed two points, three digs, and two assists. Jhianna Baker had three digs and a kill.

Scots Take Down Corinth


Argyle fought off a tough Corinth squad 3-1 in Adirondack League volleyball.


Set scores were 25-17, 27-25, 25-8, 25-22.


Carrie Humiston led the Scots with 22 assists, five kills and 11 digs. Emilie Wood added 12 kills and two blocks. Kylee Huniston contributed six kills and 16 digs.


For Corinth Desiree Neville had three aces, nine points, three kills and four assists. Teagan Grady chipped in two aces, 10 points, and three digs. Vivian Millis had one ace, five points, four kills, one block, one assist and two digs.


Argyle is now 7-2. Corinth falls to 7-3.
