Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I'm Keith Harrington.


Fort Ann Upsets Lake George to Advance to ADK Final


Fort Ann punched their ticket to the Adirondack League girls soccer champioship game, upsetting Lake George 2-1 on Wednesday.


Olivia Winchell scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute to break a 1-1 tie as the Cardinals broke a 1-1 tie. Lake George was the number one seed.


Fort Ann took a 1-0 lead in the first half on an own goal off a Lake George player.


Lila Frasier converted a penalty kick with 16 minutes to play to bring the Warriors even.


Baylee Wright had 11 saves for Fort Ann. Alex Cavalier stopped nine shots for Lake George.


Fort Ann moves to the title game to meet Bolton-Warrensburg Saturday at 2 p.m. at Golden Goal.

Bolton-Warrensburg Defeats Hadley-Luzerne in ADK Semifinals.


The Bolton- Warrensburg girls soccer advanced to the Adirondack League Championship game with a 3-1 win over Hadley-Luzerne Wednesday night. B-W had to come from behind after facing a halftime deficit. High scoring Carolina Lott-Diamond hit the back of the net off a corner kick by Hannah Johnson to give Hadley-Luzerne a 1-0 lead at the half.

B-W responded by scoring eight minutes into the second half on a goal by Kara Bacon, assisted by Zailey Baker to equalize.


Bacon then gave B-W the lead about eight minutes later with her second goal of the game off an assist by Ella Moskov.


Moskov then added an unassisted goal to give BW the 3-1 victory.

Both goalkeepers played well in the contest. Hope Sherman had 16 saves for B-W. Madison Lent finished with 18 saves for Hadley-Luzerne.

With the win, Bolton-Warrensburg improves to 13-2 on the season.


B-W will play Fort Ann for the league championship on Saturday at 2 pm at Golden Goal Park.

Harrington Scores Four Goals on Senior Night


Alyce Harrington may be the Washington County Dairy Princess, but on Wednesday she was the Queen of the Field Hockey Field. Harrington hit the back of the cage four times to lead Salem-Cambridge to a 5-0 win over Corinth in Adirondack-Wasaren League Field Hockey.


It was Senior Day for Salem-Cambridge and Harrington came into the game with no goals on the season before exploding for four in the game. It's safe to say Harrington will not soon forget her final home game.


Payten Williams also scored for Salem-Cambridge.


Kady Crosier and Nicole LaFountain had assists.


Brailyn Wright earned the shutout in goal.


Sydney Crombach had 24 saves for the Tomahawks.

Windsor Field Hockey Edges Fair Haven


Windsor ended Fair Haven's four game winning streak as they edged the Slaters 1-0 in high school field hockey.


The Yellowjackets scored early in the game and oufght off Fair Haven the rest of the way.


Gabby Gilbert scored the only goal of the game.


Fair Haven outshot Windsor 9-2 but could not connect with the back of the cage.


Windsor is 4-7. Fair Haven is 6-5-1.

Argyle Sweeps Hartford in Vollyeball


Route 40 rivals Argyle and Hartford squared off on the volleyball court Wednesday with the Scots sweeping the Tanagers 3-0 in Adirondack League play.


Set scores were 26-24, 25-22, 25-17.


Kylee Humiston led the Scots with 31 digs in the match.


McKenna McWhorter added eight kills and seven digs for Argyle. Raegan Humiston finished contributed nine kills and a block. Sarah Gaulin had six kills and three digs.


Argyle is now 8-2, 8-5. Hartford is g-5, 8-5.
