Section II Football Matchups For This Week Announced
The high school football season is winding down, but this week will be a busy one for the local teams still alive as the Class D and Class C semifinals will be contested. There are also a couple of local teams who will play crossover games to close the season.
In Class D four teams will open the playoffs with semifinal games. Friday night Cambridge-Salem will meet Canajoharie-Fort Plain at 6 p.m. at Mechanicville. On Saturday Greenwich will play Chatham at 6 p.m. at Mechanicville.
In the Class C semifinals Schuylerville will play at Fonda Friday night at 7 p.m. On Saturday Warrensburg-Lake George will host Stillwater at Warrensburg at 1 p.m.
In crossover games Granville-Whitehall will play at Johnstown Thursday night at 6 p.m. Also Thursday night Corinth/Fort Edward/Hadley-Luzerne will visit Rensselaer Thursday nigiht at 6 p.m.

Fair Haven Field Hockey Plays in Semifinals Tonight
The Fair Haven field hockey team will look to keep their quest for a state title alive tonight as they travel to South Burlington to meet Lyndon in the Division III state semifinals.
Alana Williams, Emilee Higgins and Vivian Ladabouche scored goals for Fair Haven in the quarterfinals. Jaylena Haley had the assist. All four have been key players on offense for the Slaters this season and will be continue to be looked up tonight.
Freshman Tori Kelly had the shutout in goal in the quarterfinals for the Slaters. She has done an outstanding job of protecting the cage in her first varsity campaign.
The game is scheduled for 5:45 p.m.
