Lake George Tops Argyle to Stay Perfect


The Lake George softball team stayed perfect on the season with a 16-1 win over Argyle in Adirondack League action.


The Warriors pounded out 18 hits on the afternoon.


Shannon Starratt earned the win in the circle, spinning a three-hitter and striking out 11. Starratt also blasted another home run. She was just a triple short of the cycle with a homer, single and double and four RBIs.


Taylor Syvertsen was 3 for 3 with three RBIs. Mattison Stark was 3 for 4 with two doubles and three RBIs. Grace York added three hits.


Lake George is now 7-0, 8-1.

Fair Haven Earns Softball Win


Fair Haven used the pitching of Ashley Carvey and some hot bats to defeat Burr and Burton 14-0 in SVL softball.


Carvey fired a one-hitter with eight Ks for the Slaters.


Mercedes Cathcart smacked a home run for Fair Haven. Kate Hadwen added a triple.

Riley Marsden also contributed a pair of hits for Fair Haven.

Huge Sixth Inning Propels Fort Ann Over Corinth

Fort Ann used a huge sixth inning to defeat Corinth 14-6 in Adirondack League baseball action.

The Cardinals trailed 6-5 entering the sixth, but eight runs on the frame and another in the seventh got the job done for the Cardinals.

Jack Dornan was 3 for 4 with a double for Fort An. Callon Sutliff ws 2 for 3. Dylan Brown and Cullen Jackson drove in a pair of runs.


David White was 2 for 3 for Corinth with two RBIs. Logan Dishon and Hunter Thompson also drove in runs.


Fort Ann is 2-4, 3-4.

Corinth Softball Defeats Fort Ann


Corinth jumped out to an early lead and used a big fifth inning to pull away to defeat Fort Ann 13-3 in Adirondack League softball.


The Tomahawks scored four in the first and eight in the fifth and it turned out to be way more than they needed.


Tegan Grady was the winning pitcher with 11 Ks.


Grady 2 for 3 with a triple for Corinth. Aubrey Lozier was 2 for 4. Madison Pincheon, Kenadee Flint and Cadence Wells all added hits.


Brooke Vanness had two RBIs for the Cardinals.


Emma Blondin recorded 11 strikeouts for Fort Ann.


Corinth is now 1-5, 2-6. Fort Ann is 0-6, 2-6.
