Reynolds Wins First Ever Home Hartford Cross Country Meet on Senior Day


Logan Reynolds made Hartford Central School history on Tuesday. Only one person can be the first winner on the Tanager's new home course, and that will always be Reynolds. Reynolds celebrated his Senior Night by outdueling Corinth's Hayden Sirchia to the finish line by a fraction of a second, setting the initial course record.


Both Reynolds and Sirchia recorded times of 19:17. Corinth's Paul Granger was third with a 19:58.


The Tomahawks had a strong day in the boy's race as well, topping Hartford 24-31 and defeating an incomplete Argyle team. Hartford slipped past Argyle 15-incomplete.


On the girls side Argyle's Alyssa Freeguard dominated the field, finishing with a time of 22:07 to set a course record. Rylee Dunbar of Corinth was second with a time of 22:41. Hartford's Brynn Tyler was third with a 23:42.


Argyle defeated both Hartford and Argyle 15-incomplete in the girl's event.


Rounding out the top 10 for the boys were: 4. Bryton Mandigo (Hart) 5.Ashton Tokarski (Cor) 6. Jacob Durkee (Arg) 7. Lucas Kingsley (Arg) 8. Jack Martina (Cor) 9. Hongxu Qian (Hartford) 10. Dan Perkins (Cor)


Concluding the girls top 10 were: 4. Erica Sialunski 5. Sage Frank (Arg) 6. Carlie Depew (Arg) 7. Jillian Richards (Cor) 8. Gabrielle McFarren (Hartford) 9. McKenzie Johnson (Hartford) 27:50 10. Mackenzie Heller (Arg) 31:21

Proctor Stays Undefeated


The Proctor girls soccer team continued to roll as they stayed undefeated with an 11-0 win over The Sharon Academy.


The Phantoms led 9-0 at halftime. Five girls hit the back of the net for Proctor, with three players scoring three goals each.


Maggie McKearin, Emma Palmer and Isabel Greb all recorded hat tricks for the Phantoms.


Dez Traverse and Jenna Davine also scored for the Phantoms.


Angel Traverse and Cadence Goodwin both played time in the goal for Proctor, both earning a piece of the credit for the shutout.


Proctor is now 9-0. The Sharon Academy is 1-4.

Bolton-Warrensburg Blanks Lake George


The Bolton-Warrensburg girls soccer team stayed unbeaten with an impressive 3-0 victory over Lake George in an Adirondack League match. .


It was the second loss of the season for Lake George after 58 straight wins. The Warriors have been battling being shorthanded due to Covid quarentines.


The game was knotted at 0-0 at the half, but B-W took charge from there.


Karla Sherman began the scoring off an assist from Gabby Mowery to make it 1-0 B-W.


Mowery and Ella Moskov also added second half goals to put the contest away. Moskov also picked up the assist.


Hope Sherman earned the shutout in goal with two saves. Alivia Dean had seven stops for Lake George.


Bolton-Warrensburg is 6-0, 8-0-1. Lake George is 3-2, 5-5.

MAU Edges Slaters


Mount Anthony rallied from an early deficit to edge Fair Haven 3-2 in girls high school soccer under the lights at Spinelli Field in Bennington.


The Slaters led 1-0 on a goal by Brittney Love.


MAU took control with tallies from Rowie Rowie Rella-Neill and Alicia Harrington and Alicia Harrington.


The second goal of the night from Rella-Neill gave the Patriots a 3-1 lead.


Elizabeth Love scored the second goal for Fair Haven.


Fair Haven is now 4-2-2 on the season.
