Lake George Defeats Hadley-Luzerne in ADK Battle


Hadley-Luzerne has been a bit of a nemesis for the Lake George boys soccer team recently. Friday the Eagles played the Warriors even in the first half, but Lake George used a big secnd half to grab a 3-1 win in Adirondack League action.


The teams were tied 0-0 at the break, but the scoring opened up in the second half.


Jack Welch gave the Warriors a 1-0 lead at the 34:33 to go mark off and assist from Jack Sullivan.


Sam Knauf made it 2-0 Lake George just under four minutes later.


Connor Mason got Hadley-Luzerne on the board with 21:48 to go with a goal assisted by Mason Conklin.


Knauf put it away with his second goal with 8:32 remaining.


Kristian Johnson had four saves in goal for Lake George. Hadley-Luzerne got 15 stops from Zack Caldwell.

Hartford Volleyball Rolls Over Hadley-Luzerne


The Hartford volleyball team remained unbeaten in Adirondack League play with a 3-0 sweep over Hadley-Luzerne.


Set scores were 25-14, 26-24, and 25-13.


Karlee Nims led the Tanagers wth 13 kills and four aces. Soleia Lamoureux added three aces and three digs.


Lindsey Grey had five service points and two kills for the Eagles. Riley Daniels had six service points, four assists and three digs.


Hartford is 5-0, 6-0. Hadley-Luzerne is 2-3, 2-4.

Granville Volleyball Earns Second Win


In Corinth's Assembly Match Granville rolled in and spoiled the party as they earned a hard-fought 3-2 win. It is the second win of the season for the Golden Horde.


Set scores were 22-25, 25-20, 26-24, 16-25 and 25-20.


Kaelyn Dekalb had nine service points and four aces. Lilly Strout had a big match with seven servie points, five kills, three aces and two blocks. Vivian Green added seven service points, two aces and one block. Sierra Brayer chipped in four service points, two aces and one dig.


For the Tomahawks, Erin Ward had 14 digs. Vivian Mills had 10 kills, 12 service points and five aces. Sam Petteys contributed nine service points and four kills. Desiree Neville had seven service points, eight assists and four kills.

Salem-Cambridge Field Hockey Edges Tomahawks


Salem-Cambridge scored a goal in each half to edge Corinth 2-1 in Adirondack-Wasaren League field hockey. The game was tied 0-0 after a quarter, but Salem-Cambridge got goals in the second and third periods to pull out the win.


Lexi Cary converted a Mary Kate McPhee pass to give Salem-Cambridge a 1-0 lead at the 5:28 mark of the second quarter.


Corinth got even in the third when Aubrey Lozier scored with an assist from Casey Decker.


Claire Toleman scored the game-winner for Salem-Cambridge with 9:06 remaining in the third. McPhee had the assist.


Brailyn Wright had two saves for Salem-Cambridge. Sydney Cromback had 16 stops for the Tpmahawks.
