Six the Phantoms Number in Win Over Blue Devils
In 2003 when I coached the Poultney Blue Devils softball team to a state championship we knew we were going to win when the score was 6-6 in th sixth inning. After all, we were the Devils right? Yesterday in Poultney the number six belonged to the Proctor girls soccer team.
The Phantoms stayed unbeaten on the season as the blanked Poultney 6-0 to win their sixth consecutive game to start the season.
Maggie McKearin recorded a hat trick with three goals for Proctor. Isabel Greb scored twice and Laci French added a tally for the Phantoms.
Kenzie Ezzo played a strong game in goal for Poultney.
Proctor is now 6-0 on the season. Poultney is 3-3 after a 3-0 start.
