Welcome to the return of the "Monday Morning Hot List!" This is our Border Country Sports look at who was ot this week in high school sports!

---Maggie McKearin of Proctor girls soccer reached a historic milestone this week. McKearin scored four goals in an 8-1 win over rival West Rutland. The final goal of the contest by McKearin put her at the 100 career goal mark. Congrats Maggie!

---How about a shout out to North Warren girls soccer. The Cougars won their first game in program history ending a long drought, 4-2 over Crown Point in a non-league match. Megan Bruno scored twice for North Warren. Nicole Buckman and Isabella Swartz also scored goals.

---Speaking of streaks the Granville girls soccer team ended a long losing skid with a win over those same North Warren Cougars. In just the second game for new coach Cathy Kilby, Granville used two goals from Hannah Ingleston to win 2-1. It was the first Golden Horde since the 2018 season.

---The Fair Haven field hockey team also snapped a long losing streak this week. The Slaters defeated Springfield 6-0. Tegan Hoard and Jaylena Haley scored two goals each. Emily Higgins and Vivian Ladabouche also scored for Fair Haven.

---Streaks seem to be the word of the week in the Border Country. The Lake George girls soccer team won their 56th straight Adirondack League match, 7-0 over Granville. Lila Frasier scored four goals for the Warriors. Samantha Gorey tallied three goals in the win.

---The Poultney girls soccer team is off to a hot start to the season. The Blue Devils are 3-0 after a pair of wins over Twin Valley and a victory over Long Trail. Poultney was a powerhouse under back in the days of Brianna Tindall, Sara Gimore, Crystal Hughes etc.....under the direction of Luigi Valente. After several difficult years Hannah Corkum seems to have the Blue Devils back on track.

---Fair Haven's Brittney Love continued her hot start to the season this week. Love scored three times to record a hat trick and picked up as assist as well in the Slaters 6-2 win over Green Mountain.

---The Lake George boys soccer team is off to another great start and Sam Knauf is playing a major role. Knauf had a hat trick in the Warriors win over Hartford on Friday.

---Dylan Winchell of Warrensburg football had a big banner day in the Burghers 68-0 win over Helderberg Valley. Winchell rushe for 91 yards, ran for touchdowns of 11 and 47, and returned a punt 59 yards for a score. He also hauled in a TD pass from Caden Allen.
