Knauf Named ADK Boys Soccer MVP


The coaches of the Adirondack League recently met to select the 2021 Adirondack League all-stars in boys’ soccer. League powers Lake George and Fort Ann dominated the selections with eight between them. Granville and Hartford each placed a pair of players on the team.


Lake George’s Sam Knauf was named the Adirondack League Most Valuable Player. Knauf led the Warriors in scoring and helped lead Lake George to their fifth consecutive league title.


The Warriors had five players selected to the team. Runner-up Fort Ann had four players honored.

Also being recognized from Lake George were Goalie Kristian “Yogi” Johnson, and Poe Tutu on the first team, and Jack Sullivan and Kyle Dolan on the second team.


Fort Ann placed Callon Sutliff and Hayden Eash on the first team, along with Riley Barnes and Jackson Paige on the second team.
