VBCA Announces 2021 All-State Selections
The Vermont Soccer Coaches Association All-State team was unveiled last week, and a pair of local Division IV state championship teams led the way in selections. Both the MSJ boys and Proctor girls were well represented. MSJ placed four players on the boys squad, while five Phantoms were named to the girls team.
West Rutland and MSJ placed four players each on the girls Division IV team.
Rutland, who had a nine-game winning streak during the season and advanced to the Division I semifinals had three players recognized.
Proctor won their third consecutive Division IV state championship. The respect for the Phantoms by the VSCA was clear as Jenna Davine, Laci French, Isabel Greb, Maggie McKearin and Emma Palmer were all named to the team.
The MSJ boys won their first state title in school history. Peter Carlson, Tyler Corey, Ryan Jones and Andre Prunty were all selected to the team representing the Mounties.
The Rutland girls’ team was represented in Division I by Camryn Kinsman, Mackenzie McLaughlin and Kathryn Moore.
