Cosmos Hand Proctor First Softball Loss

The Springfield softball team celebrated their Senior Night on Wednesday by handing Proctor their first loss of the season, edging the Phantoms 4-2.

Izzy Belisle of Springfield and Proctor's Cadence Goodwin hooked up in a pitcher's deul with Belisle's team rallying late to grab the win.

Proctor led 2-1 in the fifth inning, but the Cosmos socred three runs in the fifth to take the lead and never gave it back.

Belisle earned the win in the circle, spinning a four hitter with six strikeouts.

Goodwin struck out nine for Proctor.

Goodwin tripled and had two RBis at the plate for the Phantoms.

Ari Cioffi, Jill Muther and Mckenzie Sidler had key hits for Springfield.
