Adirondack League Girls Basketball All-Stars Named
The coaches of the Adirondack League voted for their all-stars for the 2021-2022 season a few weeks ago, but the league has a policy not to release them until every team is done playnig. That took awhile this year due ot the fantastic run of Hartford. Now with the Tanagers falling in the state semifinals the Adirondack League Girls Basketball All-Stars has been releaed.
Corinth senior guard Maddie DeLisle was named the Most Valuable player. DeLisle led the Tomahawks to an unbeaten regular season and 22 straight wins before ending the season 22-1. Corinth won the Adirondack League title. DeLisle surpassed the 1,000 point mark this season.
Hartford, who won the ADK Division II title, and finished as the league runnerup placed two players on the First Team. Guard Gabrielle McFarren and Post Player Karlee Nims were both selected. Both are seniors and scored 1,000 career points. Hartford won the Section II Class D title, the state regional title, and fell in the state Final Four after earning the first trip in school history.
Other players named to the First Team were Corinth sophomore forward Emily Dingmon, Warrensburg sophomore Hope Sherman and North Warren senior Nicole Buckman.
Selected to the second unit were Whitehall's Samantha Howland, Warrensburg's Olivia Frazier, Salem's Amber Terry, Argyle's Kylee Humiston and Hadley-Luzerne's Madison Lent.
