Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Blog, I'm Keith Harrington.
I am actually typing the Sunday blog on Saturday night while I am waiting for Duke and Virginia Tech to tip off. With the clock springing ahead tonight I want to make sure I get out of bed early enough to shoot some live video from the Hartford girls basketball team send off as they head to Clinton Community College for the state regional final.
I am looking go forward to the game and hoping the Tanagers can punch their ticket to the state Final Four next weekend. But I am also looking forward to meeting up with my high school friend and teammate Scott Gauthier who lives up in the area. We have some dinner plans after the game.
Scott is a regular reader of my blog and back around 1981-1982 he, Tim Casey, Boomer St. Louis and I formed a rather potent scoring soccer line for the Tanagers. Even though I had my share of goals, Scott and Tim were the scorers and Boomer and I were the set up guys. Great memories, except for when North Warren upset us in the Class D sectionals.
Good luck to our beloved Tanagers against Boquet Valley of Section VII today.
