Warrensburg Tops Granville in TCML Softball

Warrensburg scored scored three runs in the bottom of the fourth to take the lead and edged Granville 10-8 in TCML softball action. It was the season opener for both teams.

Granville led 8-7 heading to the bottom of the fourth, but back-to-back triples by Maddie Monahan and Alexis Brody allowed Warrensburg to regain the lead.

Warrensburg led 4-2 after the first inning, but Granville took and 8-7 lead after plating four runs in the top of the fourth.

Hope Sherman earned the win in the circle for Warrensburg. Sherman scattered eight hits and struck out eight.

Monahan was 2 for 2 with a triple, double and two RBIs. Brody was also 2 for 2 and drove in a pair of runs. Hope Goodspeed added an RBI hit.

Megan Decker was 3 for 3 wirh Granville with a triple a double and three RBIs. Maddie Wilson was also 3 for 3. Courtney Ennis had a two-run single. Allie Gonzalez added a pair of RBIs.

Warrensburg is 1-0. Granville is 0-1.


Warrensburg Rolls Over Whitehall in TCML Baseball

Warrensburg exploded for 14 runs in the secnd inning as they rolled over Whitehall 31-7 in TCML baseball action. The Burghers pounded out 15 hits in the contest.

Warrensburg led 7-0 after the first, but for putting the game away with the huge outburst in the second.

Caleb Remington picked up the win on the bump with four innings of no-hit ball. he finished with 11 strike outs.

Remington also drove in three runs in helping his own cause.

Louis Lang was 3 for 4 with a double and grand slam home run for Warrensburg with five RBIs. Will Hens was 4 for 4, Tyler Powers 2 for 2 and Brayton Edwards 2 for 3.

Warrensburg is now 3-0 on the season.
