Hartford Softball Earns Big Win Over Granville


A couple of weeks ago it looked like Warrensburg and Granville were the clear favorites in the TCML softball race. Hartford has thrown a wrench into that in recent days. After taking down Warrensburg Hartford struck again as they cruised past Granville 22-7.


Hartford jumped out to a 15-0 lead. They scored five runs each in the first three innings. Meanwhile pitcher Emma Wade was shutting down the Granville offense.


Cailin Severance led Hartford at the plate with a triple.


Laura Arhnold tripled for Granville. Raegan Swain doubled.


Hartford moved to 5-3 with the win. Granville fell to 6-3.

Granville Bounces Back By Rolling Over Adirondack


After the loss to Hartford the Granville Zappones TCML softball team bounced back with an impressive 20-5 win over Adirondack.


After Adirondack took a 1-0 lead in the top of the first Granville ripped off 20 straight runs. Zappones scored five runs in each of the first four innings.


Katherine Hyatt picked up the win in the circle. Hyatt scattered eight hits and struck out six.


Courtney Ennis has a huge game at the plate for Granville, going 3 for 3 with five RBIs. Raegan Swain tripled. Melody Schinski had two RBIs and Allie Gonzalez also drove in a run.


Gabrielle Smith was 3 for 3 for Adirondack. Isabella Tucci was 2 for 2.


Granville is 7-3. Adirondack is 0-9.

Fort Ann Defeats Hadley-Luzerne in TCML Battle of Unbeatens


Fort Ann pulled away with a four run fourth inning and went on to defeat Hadley-Luzerne 12-5 in a battle of TCML baseball unbeaten teams.


Fort Ann led 3-0, but a three run third brought Hadley-Luzerne even.


Fort Ann scored four runs in the fourth to take control at 7-3 and added three more in the fifth.


Drake Stewart earned the win on the bump. Stewart scattered six hits and struck out eight. He also added two RBIs.


Josh Dornan was 3 for 3 for Fort Ann. Callon Sutliff tripled and drove in two runs. Riley Barnes and Garrett Brown had two RBIs each.


Mason Conklin was 2 for 3 for Hadley-Luzerne with three RBIs.


Fort Ann is now 8-0. Hadley-Luzerne is 6-1.
