Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Blog, I'm Keith Harrington.

Blue Devils Win Third Straight

The Poultney girls basketball team had high expectations coming into this season. Things did go as plan at first as the Blue Devils dropped their first four games. The tide seems to be turning. It looked their recent streak may come to an abrupt end early on. The Eag;es jumped out to a 13-3 lead. The Blue Devils poured in 18 second quarter points to take the lead and held off the Eagles from there.

Kaitlyn DeBonis paced Poultney by netting 10 points. Emily Handley chipped in eight.

Sidney Herrington led Arlington with 11 points. while Katerina Gordon and Taylor Wilkins had 10 points each.

Poultney is now 3-4 on the season.

The Generals played a better second half, only being outscored 10-9 by Fort Ann in the third and playing the Cardinals even in the fourth, but the damage was already done.

Lake George Takes Down Tanagers

The high scoring duo of Cameron Orr and Julius Moffit proved to be too much for Hartford. Lake George got a combined for 47 points as Lake George took down Hartford 55-32 in an Adirondack League matchup.

The Warriors led 17-8 after a quarter and increased the margin to 29-15 at halftime.
