Poultney Defeats Westside For Second Win
The Poultney boys basketball team continued their progress as they earned the second win of the Todd Montana era with a 49-20 victory over West Rutland in SVL boys basketball. The Blue Devils raced out to a quick double-digit lead and never looked back.
Poultney got out to a 13-0 lead in the first quarter. The Golden Horde used an 8-4 second quarter to pull within 17-8 at the break.
The Blue Devils reinserted the defensive clamps in the third to pull away for the win.
Marcus Lewis led Poultney with 14 points.
David Noel had 11 points for Westside.
Poultney is 2-4. West Rutland is 0-7.

Fair Haven Girls Take Down Bratt
The Fair Haven gilrs basketball team opened up a lead at the half and went on to take down Brattleboro 37-29 in SVL action.
The Slaters led by 11 at halftime and fought back Bratt the rest of the evening.
Lilly Briggs scored 17 points for Fair Haven. Brittney Love had eight points. Love also led the Slater defensive effort, recording five steals.
Chloe Givens scored nine points for Brattleboro. Kiki McNary added eight.
Fair Haven is now 7-2 on the season.

Whitehall Boys Roll Over Corinth
The Whitehall boys basketball team continues their upward swing as they rolled over Corinth 71-19 in an Adirondack League contest. The Railroaders opened up a big first quarter lead and were never challenged by the Tomahawks.
Whitehall led 19-5 after a quarter and 33-12 at the half.
The Railroaders outscored the Tomahawks 38-7 in the second half.
Cash Burgey led Whitehall with 31 points. Latrell Evans added 11.
Kaiden Wright led Corinth with six points.
Whitehall is 5-2, 6-3.

Lake George Cruises Past Salem
Lake George got big nights from their 1-2 scoring combo as they cruised past Salem 64-37 in Adirondack League boys basketball.
Julius Moffit took the lead role for the Warriors in this one, pouring in 33 points. Cameron Orr added 19 for Lake George.
The Warriors led 27-8 at the end of a quarter and 31-16 at the break.
Lake George out the game away with a 33-21 second half advantage.
Connor Chilson had a double-double for Salem with 21 points and 10 rebounds.
Lake George is 6-1, 9-3. Salem is 4-8.
