Kyle Wilson Earns 200th Win as Slaters Take Down Bratt
It was a milestone afternoon for Fair Haven girls basketball coach Kyle Wilson. Wilson added another line on his coaching resume has he picked up career win 200 as the Slaters defeated Brattleboro 53-40.

Poultney Girls Win at Green Mountain
The Poultney girls basketball team entered the 2021-2022 season with high expectations. The Blue Devils got off to an 0-4 after facing a burtal schedule. It appears as though coach Todd Hayes is starting to get his team rolling.
Poultney earned their second win in a row Saturday as they travled to Chester and came back home with a 37-30 win over Green Mountain. Both of the recent wins for the Blue Devils have come on the road.
Poultney led 10-9 after a quarter. The teams played to a 7-7 deadlock in the second to give the Blue Devils a 17-16 at the half.
Green Mountain took an 18-17 lead to begin the third, but a Hailey Hayes hoop gave Poultney the lead at 23-21 and they never gave it back.
The Blue Devils led by as much as 29-20 in the fourth before the Chieftains sliced it 29-24. A basket by Molly Hier bumped the lead back to 31-24 and Poultney held on from there.
Hier domonated the paint and led Poultney with 16 points. Hayes added six points and Hannah Welch five.
Kim Cummings had 15 points for Green Mountain. Karen Vargas added 10.
Poultney is now 2-4. Green Mountain is 3-5.

Burghers Pull Away From Golden Horde For Win
Granville stayed close early on, but Warrensburg pulled away with a big third quarter for a 41-24 win in an Adirondack League contest.
The Burghers jump out to a 10-3 lead in the first quarter, A solid second quarter for the Golden Horde narrowed the gap to 14-11 at halftime.
Warrensburg took control in the third. The Burghers came out of the locker room with an 18-5 third quarter run to lead 32-16 heading to the fourth. The advantage proved insurrmountable for Granville.
Kara Bacon had a career high 13 points to go along with seven steals for Warrensburg. Hope Sherman added a double-double with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
Bailey Phillips played a strong game for Granville with 13 points.
Warrensburg is 5-2, 6-4. Granville is 3-4, 4-7.
