Argyle Boys Open with a Win
The Argyle boys basketball team opened the 21-22 campaign with an impressive 50-24 non-league win over Cambridge Friday night.
The Scots took command of the game early, using a 13-4 first quarter and 15-6 second to lead 28-12 at halftime.
Derek Liddle paced Argyle wth 16 points. Justin McWhorter added 12 and Brandon Saunders 10 for the Scots.
Andrew Clark had nine points for Cambridge.
Argyle is 1-0. Cambridge is 0-3.

Argyle Girls Swat Hornets
Not to be outdone by their boys, the Argyle girls basketball team opened the season on a positive note as they swatted the Heatly Hornets 51-24.
Heatly hung close early. The Hornets led 10-9 after a quarter and trailed just 21-20 at the break.
In the second half the Scots clamped down on defense. They outscored Heatly 11-2 in the third and 19-2 in he fourth to pull way for the win.
Kylee Humiston led Argyle with 19 points. Lillianna Kingsley contributed 17. Raegan Humiston chipped in eight points.
Argyle is 1-0. Heatly is 0-2.

Hartford Girls Roll Again
Don't look now, but it looks like the Hartford girls basketball team has one of the most explosive scoring combinations in the Adirondack League. Fresh off a win over Heatly where Karlee Nims and Gabbie McFarren combined for 59 points, they did it again.
The duo combined for 38 of their teams points as Hartford topped Schroon Lake 56-47 in a Coaches vs. Cancer game.
The Tanagers trailed 14-12 after a quarter and led just 27-26 at halftime. The game was stiil tight after three quarters as Schroon Lake used a 15-14 advantage to tie the game.
However, Hartford used a 15-6 fourth quarter effort to pull out the win.
Nims led Hartford with 22 points. McFarren added 16.
Hartford is now 2-0 n the season. Schroon Lake is 0-1.

Lake George Rolls Over Ticonderoga in Tip Off Tournament
The Lake George boys basketball team used a strong defensive effort to roll past Ticonderoga 59-16 in the first round of the Lake George Tip Off Tournament.
The Warriors led 16-2 after the first quarter and 29--13 at the half.
A 10-0 third quarter and 20-3 final stanza put this one far out of reach for Schroon Lake.
Cameron Orr led Lake George with 17 points. Isaac Herrick added 11.
Herrick added nine rebounds for the Warriors. Luke Sheldon added eight boards. Jack Welch had eight rebounds to go along with four assists.
Lake George is 1-0. Ticonderoga is 0-1.
