Adirondack-Wasaren League Field Hockey All-Stars Named
The field hockey coaches of the Adirondack-Wasaren League recently released their all-stars for the 2021 season.
Forward Emma McCart of champion Hoosick Falls was named the Most Valuable Player.
Making up the first team are: Taylor Cary Salem-Cambridge, Ceci Christian Emma Willard
Mackenzie Dixson Greenwich, Lyric Kriner Hoosick Falls, Olivia Mann Corinth, Katie McEachron Granville
Mary Kate McPhee Salem-Cambridge, Mackenna Roberson Hoosick Falls, Jocelyn Spiezio Greenwich
Reagan Swain Granville, Gwyn Vincent Hoosick Falls.
Second team all-stars include: Hayley Aptekarev Emma Willard, Grace Autiello Greenwich, Haylie Barber Granville, Rachel Beaver Granville, Lexy Cary Salem-Cambridge, Madalynn Curley Greenwich, Kamryn Friel Hoosick Falls, Deandra Gill Corinth, Tatum Hickey Hoosick Falls

Corinth Girls Open With Win Over Waterford
The Corinth girls basketball team opened the season with a 60-15 non-league win over Waterford in a non-league game.
The Tomahawks led 20-2 after a quarter and 37-7 at the half.
Emily Dingmon paced Corinth with 15 points. Deandra Gill added 12 points.
Piper Morris had seven points for the Fordians.
Corinth is 0-1. Waterford is 0-2.
