Phantoms Pull Away to Top Golden Horde
Proctor blew open a close game in the fourth quarter and pulled away for a 60-48 win over arch rival West Rutland in SVL girls basketball at the Hinchey Gymnasium.
Proctor led 31-26 at the half and the game remained tight in the third. The Phantoms led 43-37 after the three quarters. However, Westside scored a pair of buckets to pull within 43-41 to open the fourth.
The Phantoms closed the game on a 17-7 run to close out the victory.
Maggie McKearin had a huge game for Proctor, pouring in 35 points. Isabel Greb added 13 points.
Peyton Guay paced the Golden Horde with 17 points. Proctor is 1-1 on the season. West Rutland is also 1-1.

Corinth Remains Unbeaten in Girls Hoop
Corinth and Hartford may be on a collision course. The Tomahawks also remaained unbeaten on the season as they defeated Warrensburg 50-26 in an Adirondack League contest.
Corinth raced out to a 12-5 first quarter lead and extended it 24-11 at the half.
An 18-5 third quarter spurt put the game out of reach for the Tomahawks.
Emily Dingmon scored 14 points to lead Corinth. Maddie DeLisle added 13. Alexis Crossman chipped in eight.
Hope Sherman had 10 points for Warrensburg. Sherman also collected seven rebounds. Karla Sherman dished out three assists.
Corinth is 3-0, 5-0. Warrensburg is 1-1, 1-2.
