Hartford's Nims and McFarren, Corinth's DeLisle Named All-State


The New York State Sportswriters Association named their 2021-2022 All State Teams this week and a trio of Adirondack League players were recognized.


Hartford's Karlee Nims and Gabbie McFarren, along with Maddie DeLisle of Corinth were named All-State.


Nims, Hartford's outstanding post player was named to the Class D First Team. Nims averaged a double-double this season. She scored 18.6 points per game and pulled down 12.3 rebounds per contest.


Tanager's talented guard McFarren was named to the Class D Third Team. McFarren averaged 17.3 points per game this season. She was one of the most prolific guards in the section this year with her unlimited three-point range and quickness to the basket.


Nims and McFarren helped lead Hartford to the Adirondack League Division II title, a spot in the league championship game, a Section II Class D crown, a Class D Regional championship and the school's first ever trip to the State Final Four.


Corinth's DeLisle was named to the Class C Second Team. She was the most explsove offensive player in the ADK this season. DeLisle averaged 23.7 points per game for the Tomahawks and was one of the sections top shooters from behind the arc.


DeLisle led Corinth to a perfect 20-0 regular season, the Adirondack League Division I title and the Adirondack League Championship.


Nims, McFarren and DeLisle are all seniors this year.
