Time once again for our Border Country Sports Bennington Martens Players of the Week. I have to say it has been great being able to get out to the gyms and check out several of these players in-person. The season is flying right by, but I expect to be out at least three nights hitting games his week, trying to see as many players as possible.
The Border Country Sports Bennington Martens Players of the Week are brought to you by Bennington Martens basketball, our local member of the American Basketball Association and our own local pro basketball team. Stay tuned to Border Country Sports for your chance to win Bennington Martens tickets and merch!

-Our Border Country Sports Bennington Martens POTW this week is Emily Dingmon of Corinth girls basketball. Dingmon joins her fellow Tomahawk Maddie DeLisle who was honored a few weeks ago. Dingmon and DeLisle have helped lead the Corinth to an unbeaten mark so far this year.
On Friday night Dingmon helped the Tomahawks defeat Hartford in a battle of undefeated teams. Dingmon recorded a rare triple-double in the contest with 14 points, 16 rebounds and 13 assists. Earlier in the week against Whitehall the sophomore led Corinth with 21 points, 12 rebounds and six assists.
Congrats Emily!

-Our Border Country Sports Bennington Martens POTW this week is Sean Evans of North Warren boys basketball. I got to see Evans play in-person this week and I couldn't have come away more impressed. The junior showed why he is becoming one of the best scorers in the Adirondack Leaugue in leading the Cougars to a pair of wins.
Against Granville on Friday night Evans did it all. He scored 27 points using 3-point shots, drives to the basket and transiton buckets. HIs length on defense gave the Golden Horde fits as he had several steals and tipped balls. On Tuesday night in a win over Hartford Evans had 19 points, five rebounds and seven steals.
Way to go Evan!
