Border Country Sports Bennington Martens Player of the Week
It may have been a short high school sports week with the Christmas holiday, but there was still enough time for some excellent performances. This week should be a lot of fun as holiday tournaments and some interesting non-league games hit the hardwood.
Here are out Border Country Sports Bennington Martens Players of the Week:
-The boys POTW this week is Cash Burgey from Whitehall. Burgey led the Rairoaders to their biggest win of the season, topping Hartford 58-51. Burgey poured in 27 points to rally Whitehall from a fourth quarter deficit. Burgey had eight two point field goals and a trio of 3-pointers to record his total.
Congratulations Cash!
-Our girls POTW this week is Maddie DeLisle of Corinth. DeLisle helped the Tomahawks stay undefeated on the season with a 56-28 win over Hadley-Luzerne. DeLisle scored 28 points in the win. She scored five two-pointers and five treys to go along with three free throws to accumulate her total.
Way to go Maddie!
