Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report I'm Keith Harrington.


Adirondack USSSA Pride 14u Completes Successful Summer


Adirondack USSSA Pride 14u travel softball team recently closed out a successful season and several Border Country area players were contributors to the team.


The Pride finished with a final record of 51-19-4. There record includes four tournament championships, and one tournament runner-up.


The Pride finished 13th at the Eastern USSSA Nationals as the top team from the 518 in their class.


"It was 100% a great team effort to accomplish all of these things and many of them are local to the area," coach Shannon Sawyer said.

Elizabeth Carbone – Averil Park

Kylee Craft – South Glens Falls

Emily Harrington – Hudson Falls

Reagan Jablonowski - Shenendehowa

Mollie Johnson – Lake George

Ava Kill – South Glens Falls

Khloe Paddock - Whitehall

Emma Savoie – Fonda-Fultonville

Madison Sawyer – Hudson Falls

Abigail Stagl – Ballston Spa

Mya Strong – Hudson Falls

Hartford Advances in TCML Softball Playoffs


Hartford jumped out to a 5-0 lead and went on to top Granville 15-3 to advance in the TCML softball playoffs. With the play-in win Hartford advances to meet top seeded Salem.


Granville plated two runs in the second to pull within 6-2, but Hartford exploded for eight runs in the third to put the game all but out of reach.


Hartford was led by Silver Stewart who blasted a two-run homer in the decisive third inning.


Vanessa Muller was 3 for 3 with a double and an RBI for Hartford. Sierra McDermott was 2 for 3.


Muller also picked up the win in the circle.


Maddie Wilson was 2 for 3 for Granville with an RBI. Kara Jurnak, Courtney Ennis, Allie Gonzalez and Makenzie Garrison also has hits for Granville.


Hartford is now 5-6-1 on the season. Granville finishes 3-10.
