Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report I'm Keith Harrington.

Whitehall Blanked by Schoharie in Opener

The Whitehall girls soccer team opened their season on their home pitch Tuesday and had their hands full. The Railroaders were blanked by Schoharie 9-0. The Indians are the defending Section II Class C champions.

Haley Drinon led the way for Schoharie with four goals and six assists.

Briana Repscher added two goals and two assists for the Indians.

Khloe Paddock stopped 17 shots in goal for Whitehall.

Schoharie is 1-0. Whitehall is 0-1.


Greenwich Earns Wasaren League Golf Win

Greenwich opened their 2022 high school golf season with a 3 1/2-1 1/2 win over Saratoga Catholic on Tuesday.

Erik Wade fired a 40 to earn medalist honors.

Wade tied with Ryan Gillis in his match in the number two spot.

Bradley Brophy defeated Jacob Hajos 2 up for the Witches.

Sam Ziehm topped Hunter Charpenter 5 and 3, while Jake Ziehm defeated Mark Mahay 2 and 1 for the other Greenwich wins.

For the Saints, Kam Cox got past Omar DeJesus 1 up.

Greenwich is 1-0. Saratoga Catholic is 0-1.
