Bolton-Warrensburg Wins Old Forge Tournament


The Bolton-Warrensburg girls soccer team won the championship of the Old Forge Columbus Day Tournament Sunday evening by beating the host school, Town of Webb, 5-0. Ella Moskov got the scoring started for B-W off a corner kick.


Kara Bacon then added the next two goals for the Eagles, assisted by Moskov and Ila Hubert, to give B-W a 3-0 lead at halftime. In the second half, Hailey Goodspeed scored on an assist from her sister Madison Goodspeed. to make it 4-0 Eagles.


Ella Moskov scored the final goal for BW off a direct kick. Hope Sherman had 15 saves for B-W as she and her defense collected their 9th shutout of the season. Kara Bacon was named tournament MVP. With the win, Bolton-Warrensburg improves to 12-2 on the season.


Bolton-Warrensburg will host a league semifinal match

on Wednesday against Hadley-Luzerne at 4 p.m.
